The Malta Citizenship Programme is reaching it's cap of 1800 applicants
The Malta Individual Investor Programme was always limited to 1800 applications. As of the date of this news update, it is unclear to us whether the Government intends to launch a new programme under a different rule set or whether the programme will be discontinued permanently.
In relation to ongoing queries and applications, kindly be informed that applications for residence in connection with the Malta Individual Investor Programme will continue to be accepted until the 31st of July 2020.
Final applications for citizenship will continue to be accepted until the 30th of September 2020. Individuals who obtain a residence card by the 31st July 2020 but who fail to file a complete application for citizenship by the 30th of September 2020 may be considered under new regulations that the Government is considering, if they qualify.
